Edited by: Jacob Holland on 05/08/2010 14:14:58 For a cheap PvP Armageddon fit you could do worse than looking at Kil2s video Armageddon, with the commentary. He works with low named modules in general, dual heavy pulse as his primary armament... all very suitable for a younger character. He also works on the principle that flying a cheap ship opens yet another way of winning a fight.
I'll see if I can dig out a link.

So downgrade a bit...
Drop to Afocal Pulses (dirt cheap and a lot easier to fit), drop to a Automated rep... Replace one of the plates with a Reactor Control if you have to...
Take from the fit the intention he had in creating it; short range, good tracking, high buffer with moderate resists and the ability to self repair; rather than directly copying it.
While Mr Lyrus is correct in his statement that T2 guns and ammo will make a fit shine they aren't necessary to make a fit work. Without T2 guns and ammo you'll still be doing good damage with multis, you can still achieve good range with Radio... you just won't be able to do both at once.

By my reckonning BTW a named and T1 version of the Kil2 set-up, without rigs, will fit with Electronics 3, Engineering 3 and weapon upgrades 3.
One on One versus an experienced pilot in a T2 fit ship it is unlikely to survive, but not all pilots are experienced and you have a corp who can back you up (or whom you can back up).
The only thing I would say to potentially dissuade you is to stick to ships you can lose and replace easily, if you sink all of your cash into an Armageddon, lose it on its first flight and then have to sit in station for the duration then you're neither going to be as useful to your corp, nor have as much fun, as if you took a dozen fitted arbitrators and lost ten of them. --
